Prom Night

Yet another remake of a scary movie hitting theatres slapped with the oh so welcoming pg-13 rating and cluster fu*k full of no name actors/actresses. I just don't see how movies rated pg-13 can be scary, especially with all the smut the theatres have been putting out lately with crap like shutter, the eyes, etc. At least it's not another japanese ramake that has become all the fad since "The Ring" and "The Grudge". This is a movie obviously targeted for teenage males to take their girlfriends/dates to see. If you do plan on seeing this movie and are 18+ I would suggest seeing it at a later time because the crowd at my theatres can be quite a nuisance at pg-13 movies. After 8pm is good, the younger crowd should be long gone by then ;D.

Street Kings

Starring Keanu Reeves and Forest Whitaker, this movie looks promising. I am a big fan of cop/gang/etc. types of movies. Being directed by the writer of "Training Day" doesn't hurt either :P. Reeves plays a cop set out on finding the murder of his partner. He uses tactis which aren't so 'law friendly' to get the job done. If you liked movies like Training Day and American Gangster, this should be a treat for you!

Smart People

Smart People looks like one of those smart quirky films(Dan in Real Life, Juno) that come out every so often. Starring Dennis Quaid, Thomas Haden Church, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Ellen Page(Juno). This movie is a story about a man who needs love in his life and goes through comedy and strife to get there. Looks like you rbasic love comedy on paper, but promises to be so much more. It is an official sundance film festival so it might be kind of artsy and not for everyone.
